No date but 1927. Collection of 16 stylish colour illustrations, done via limited colour chromolithograph, showing children engaged in make believe. Done by I. Bennington Angrave, though uncredited in this edition. The book was rather expensive on publication, and these illustrations were so impressive that they were to be re-purposed one year later for a new version with a story by Enid Blyton that is equally scarce. 4to. marking, spotting and rubbing to cover. Crease and bumping to spine. Previous owner's name to first page. Some light toning within, else clean and tight. Good.
